Today, the club hosted its annual Ironman distance charity swim. We had a great turnout with 84 swimming. Longford’s Ciarán Madden was first back in a time of just over 38.5 minutes.
So far, the event has raised around €4k with some sponsorship still to come in. All proceeds will be going to the Longford and Roscommon branches of the Alzheimer Society.
Many thanks to all those who took part today and all those who helped keep the swimmers safe. Thanks also to the everyone who helped back at the hall with the post swim refreshments.
